Spanish Language

Spanish language was originated in Spain and now, it is an official language of many countries. This language was spread across many countries through colonization, conquest and early material trading. Today, apart from Spain, this language is widely spoken is South, Central America and some parts of North America.Many individuals and travelers learn Spanish as they use this language as their second language, since this language is used in most parts of the world.

Today, there are 325 million Spanish speakers worldwide and twenty one countries across the world speak Spanish.

During the 3rd century, many words from Latin were imported in Spanish language by the Iberian Peninsula during the Castilian dialect, Roman conquest. In the 15th century, all Spain Kingdoms were united during the Christian conquest. Castile language still dominates today and Castilian Spanish is still spoken in Spain. According to the constitution in 1978, Castilian Spanish has become the national language and it is used in schools and courts also.

Latin American Spanish and Castilian Spanish vary from region to region. Latin American Spanish originated after the colonization establishment in the American continent. One noticeable difference between these languages is the origin of the word in the vocabulary.

Learning Spanish is relatively easy for English speakers as it does not require any supplementary material, other than the vocabulary dictionary to understand the meaning of the Spanish word. For the pronunciations and intonation, audio clips can be referred after learning basics of Spanish language. Some English words have become the part of Spanish vocabulary. This language was influenced by Moorish, since many Spanish words in Spanish begin with ‘al-’ which depicts its descent. Many words that begin with ‘t’ in other romance language, are replaced by ‘h’ in Spanish.
