Like eighty, no word exists for ninety. So the word quatre-vingt is used and ten is added for it. For example 91 (quatre-vingt-onze) actually means four-twenty-eleven

Similar to English, for the French numbers 100 to 999, the number is added to hundred, like 100 is cent, 200 deux cent, etc.
